Founded in 1972 by Mr. and Mrs. Vane Mingle, Canopy Real Estate Institute is one of the oldest and most successful continuously operating real estate schools in North Carolina.  Its real estate prelicensing, postlicensing and continuing-education courses are approved by the N.C. Real Estate Commission (NCREC).  Classes are scheduled on weekdays, evenings and weekends for maximum flexibility.

Canopy Real Estate Institute is located in the Canopy Realtor® Association building at 1120 Pearl Park Way near uptown Charlotte.  It is owned by the Association, whose members receive special course discounts.  The school's unique positioning in the Canopy Realtor® Association puts it in the real estate business every day.  Our staff and faculty are part of the real estate profession, participating daily as real estate agents, sales managers, company trainers, career development specialists, property managers, commercial property managers and developers, appraisers and mortgage brokers.

Canopy Real Estate Institute's real estate continuing-education program offers the most varied schedule of dates and elective courses available in the area.  Course prices are competitive and classes (update and elective) include a complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon snacks, plus free coffee all day.  Canopy Real Estate Institute also offers online CE elective courses approved by the NCREC.
